After market mattress upgrades typically are heavier than the OEM supplied and require upgraded lift supports to hold bed open for storage access. These higher capacity lifts are an outstanding replacement.

i purchased 2 of the 27 inch lift supports for my murphy bed . i installed them and one blew a seal right away . the other one works fine .i 'm thinking it was just defective . over all i think the co. is just fine
