Switch from Nylon
I made the switch from the nylon ones on my RV door. I broke 2 nylon in less than a week due to being in a very windy area. I have had the metal one on for a week and so far is holding up great.

Steel ball socket
I bought steel ball sockets to replace nylon ones, which kept breaking. All four steel ones also broke. Unfortunately, this hydraulic is the one that fits this RV. Maybe our next RV will have better ones.
