Exactly what I wanted!
Used this to replace the lift on the lid of an outdoor plastic storage chest that I use for BBQ supplies. The lid kept falling shut to the point that I had to prop it open when I used it. Just measured the original and looked for same size and guessed on the amount of pressure to use. The original had a different fitting on one end, but thankfully the thread size matched so it was an easy swap. Now the lift opens perfectly! Back in business!
