Stabilus SG404020 lift support for the 2001-2005 Ford Explorer Sport Trac hood. 9.8 in extended length, 178 lbs of force, 8 mm ball socket (5/16 in) end fittings, and 7.4 in compressed length. Replaces the original support to bring a sagging or slow-closing hood back to proper lift and hold. Also fits the 2001-2003 Ford Explorer Sport and 2003 Ford Explorer Sport XLS. Fitment note: With Factory Alumium Hood. Sold one per unit; replacing the pair keeps lift force even. Stroke is 2.4 in. The rod measures 8 mm and the cylinder 19 mm. Includes a 1-year warranty.
